..And boy, oh boy is it getting hot out here in Southeast Texas. On Saturday morning we headed out to Millie Bush Bark Park shortly after sunrise.
It started to get pretty busy shortly after we got there, so we headed over to the less crowded lake on the far right. There, Zoe met a 4 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and I immediately thought of
Hawk from browndogcbr. This pup's name was Chase and he instantly took a liking to Zoe as most puppies seem to do.

Zoe was being incredibly patient with him too. She didn't even get mad when he would sneakily steal her ball.
Zoe spent most of her time in the water, which was probably a good idea since it was starting to get really hot. By 8:00am I was starting to sweat and imagined diving in that water myself.
Just as we were heading out Zoe decided to cool off a bit more in a disgusting mud hole. Luckily I got her out before she decided to roll her whole body in it. A few people caught the show and got a good laugh out of it and I just smiled at them and said "Yep, that's MY dog."
