Labrador Retriever,
Millie Bush Bark Park,
Zoe
..And boy, oh boy is it getting hot out here in Southeast Texas. On Saturday morning we headed out to Millie Bush Bark Park shortly after sunrise.
It started to get pretty busy shortly after we got there, so we headed over to the less crowded lake on the far right. There, Zoe met a 4 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and I immediately thought of Hawk from browndogcbr. This pup's name was Chase and he instantly took a liking to Zoe as most puppies seem to do.
Every time she would dive in after her ball, Chase would soon follow after her as long as she wasn't swimming out too far. His owners were so proud of their newly swimming pup.
Zoe was being incredibly patient with him too. She didn't even get mad when he would sneakily steal her ball.
Zoe spent most of her time in the water, which was probably a good idea since it was starting to get really hot. By 8:00am I was starting to sweat and imagined diving in that water myself.
Just as we were heading out Zoe decided to cool off a bit more in a disgusting mud hole. Luckily I got her out before she decided to roll her whole body in it. A few people caught the show and got a good laugh out of it and I just smiled at them and said "Yep, that's MY dog."
way to show em Zoe....
we haven't even had nice weather yet...you are making me want summer very badly!
Oh it does look like summer over there! :) Thank goodness mama takes you to that wonderful pool to keep our friend nice and happy. Keep cool Zoe! ~Weinerful Gang~
What?!? You didn't even to bother to care for Zoe's poor situation! Dogs need their mud baths, you know. ^^
Here where I live, 9 am is as hot as 1 pm in the afternoon.

Isn't it wonderful to own a dog that plays well with other canines? Seriously.... ;-D
That last picture of Zoe, brown mud caked to her front legs, gives your dog a Rottweiler mix look!! ;op
