Have some fun this weekend!

I'm so sorry about not posting this week, but the weather here just can't seem to make up it's mind and because of that I have been suffering from a sinus infection.  I'm doing much better now though and decided to share some photos from this past weekend.

Though it has been quite warm for this time of year, it doesn't bother me as much because it's also still so beautiful.  Daniel, myself and our good friend Kelley took our pups out to our favorite dog park.  It was Daisy's first trip and she had no trouble keeping up with the bigger dogs.  I swear sometimes she thinks she's just as big and Zoe and Sunny.

Of course Zoe was mostly focused on her ball, as per usual.

And I was more focused on our beautiful surroundings.  Can you blame me?

We're getting another big cold front in a few days and I'm crossing my fingers that my sinuses don't suffer so much this time.

P.S.  Those of you that ask, I usually take my photos on my android phone because it's much easier to carry around with me rather than my Nikon.  And I edit using instagram.  Hope that helps!

A week of Sunrises

Every day this week Zoe and I managed to get out of bed before sunrise, have some breakfast and head out to our favorite dog park; Millie Bush Bark Park.

Plenty of room for playing fetch and showing off your best diving moves.

"Don't move, this ball is mine!"

Mornings and evenings are my favorite parts of the day because it's the only time that it's cool enough to go outside and spend quality time with my dog.

Spa day!

At least I think that's what Zoe must think of it.  "Just a nice relaxing day at the spa while taking a mud bath."

I think she loves the mud almost as much as she loves to swim, and who am I to deny her from the things she loves?  No matter how much she stunk afterwards haha.  Good thing I was already planing on bathing her at the park that day.

Monday Mischief

It's been extremely hot here lately.  Zoe has been spending most of her time laying around in our nice cool apartment.  We did at least get a bit of rain this weekend, which was nice while it lasted, but it didn't last as long as I would have liked. 

Zoe got to go to the park on Friday and Saturday morning, but we didn't stay long due to the heat.  Just look at that tongue!  Even the water was really warm.  Though I can't say I didn't mind when she would come up to me and shake water all over me.  Ahh, the affection of a wet dog on a hot Summer morning!

Happy Summer!

Internet is fixed, now back to our regularly scheduled programming.  

Aside from our internet being unreliable this week, it has also been raining here the past couple of days.  Which we needed badly!  This morning however, I wasted no time taking Zoe out to our favorite dog park at Sunrise.

We've been coming to Millie Bush Bark Park since Zoe was 4 months old.  It's the first park we brought her to and it's also where she learned how to swim.  I love coming here just as much as Zoe does.  Just look at that face, how could I not keep taking her here?

With it being so hot here in Southeast Texas, it doesn't hurt to have a place with lots of water to cool off in.  Though, Zoe will go for a swim no matter what the temperature is outside.

Monday mischief

Happy Monday friends!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  We honestly didn't do much this weekend because I was feeling a bit under the weather.  I made it up to Zoe this morning by taking her out to Millie Bush Bark Park at sunrise.

She certainly didn't waste any time getting right to business.  As soon as we got through the gate she gave me that "throw the ball" look.

Not long after she really needed to cool off in the lake.  Though, I doubt it helped much since the water was really quite warm.

Zoe really doesn't like being out in the heat for too long, so I kept her in the water as much as possible.  A year ago we would stay for at least an hour or two, but these days she seems to get tired a lot quicker and I don't want to exhaust her. 

 On our way out Zoe was holding her ball in her mouth and a puppy came up to her, greeted her, and then tried to take her ball from her mouth.  She wasn't having that, so she bopped the puppy on the head and pranced over to the fence like the diva that she is.  Oy!  At least the puppies owner found it amusing.
